You can hide html element from CSS using the visibility or display property :
javascript code
div.class1
{
visibility:hidden;
}


to make it visiable:
javascript code
div.class1
{
visibility:visible;
}


Or
javascript code
div.class2
{
display:none;

}


to be visible and the default value of display property is :
javascript code
div.class2
{
display:inline;

}
