So far i i don't have for parallel, i have one for serial ports

As far i knew that there are no a standard API in java for parallel port programming, and you have to use your operating system functionality as operating system allows you to connect to ports ( Windows -> PRN , Linux -> Devs files) , or you will need to use native code in your java app using JNI API ,as in the serial port application( Java call C++).
