Does not Work IE8

In IE8 the column headers are not locked and this line of code:
trs[x].style.setExpression("top", "this.parentElement.parentElement.parentElement.scrollTop + 'px'");

seems to fail has it is no longer supported. Works great in FF - love to use - any ideas to fix IE version?
